News - Ealing Fostering and Adoption

October 2021 is Black History Month. The month is to celebrate the achievements & contributions of Black people to the UK and around the world. This year the theme is ‘Proud to be’ and encourages people of all ages to share what they are proud of. We are very proud of all of our foster carers and thank them for all of their hard work and commitment.

Foster Care Fortnight, the annual campaign organised by The Fostering Network took place 10-23 May 2021. This year the theme was ‘Why we care’ and the aim was to increase awareness of fostering and to encourage more people to become foster carers. We are held three special online events in Ealing during the fortnight. You can find out more about Foster Care Fortnight on The Fostering Network website.

LGBT+ Adoption & Fostering Week 2021 took place 1-7 March this year. The annual campaign was organised by New Family Social and the aim was to encourage more LGBT+ foster carers and adopters. New Family Social is a charity led by LGBT+ adopters and foster carers and they provide a wealth of support and advice. You can find out more about LGBT+ Adoption & Fostering Week here.
